Please tell me you watched game 5 between the Cavs & Pistons. Simply amazing. Best playoff performance I’ve ever witnessed in my entire life.
Lebron is the man. He’s only 22 years old! He scored 29 of the Cav’s 30 points in the 4th and both overtimes. Fade aways, dunks, free throws.. wow. Just wow.
I saw the Shane Dwight Band at the Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras. They rocked. Loved his sound and was pleasantly surprised when he covered Stevie Ray Vaughan. Check out his site at shanedwight.com.
I’m starting to use tumblr.com. I even bought a new domain name to stick it to. http://rodfathr.com (ya without the ‘e’ like flickr.com)
Basically, this is a site where way too much information spews out from me and ends up there.
For now my description reads: Life stream. Lazy blog. Stream of consciousness. Mental diarrhea. Too much information.
It’ll post new content from my twitter.com account, flickr.com photo account, youtube.com account (if i ever post videos there), del.icio.us bookmarks, and phonyholmes.com.
Also, it has a super easy way to link photos or random youtube.com videos, or to just add a link, quote, text snippet, or IM conversation.
This may essentially replace this site. I will still try to post stuff here but for quick and easy content, it’ll most likely end up on rodfathr.com.
It was tough in the first half. Warriors did a good job forcing it against Deron Williams, getting him into foul trouble early.
Memet caused a lot of problems. I was very impressed by his off balanced shots. Especially late in game. For a 7 footer to make those off balance shots, that’s simply amazing.
Boozer was solid. Using his size and cleaning up the boards. He made a some mistakes with turnovers but he did his job.
Derek Fisher. Damn that guy. I like him a lot when he was with the Lakers. He’s a professional and brings that maturity and class to any team. He killed us late and it was a story book night for Utah because of his heroics.
Paul Milsap. If I were Coach Sloan, I’d play that guy more often. He’s a rookie (or 2nd year?) and a 2nd rounder, but man can he play. He the type of player any team wants. Strong guy who is an energy type of player. Cleans up the boards and fights for offensive boards. Reminds me of a stronger, less buckwild, Bo Outlaw. When he took that offensive charge foul, that sealed it for me for him being one of my favorite players.
We seemed timid in the first half. Settling for jumpers instead of taking it to the hole against the bigger team. Baron kept us in it. He’s simply awesome. No doubt about it.
Late in the game, damn, I can’t emphasize it enough, we gotta make our freethrows. I loved our fight late in the game. Biedrins made clutch 2 free throws, but it wasn’t enough.. Pietrus blew it not making his.
They were big too. With Deron Williams, AK47, Milsap, Boozer, and Memet in the game, that’s a scary sight to see. Deron Williams is simply awesome. I would say right now, he’s the 2nd best point guard in the league. In only his second year, he’s shown the maturity and fire to lead a team to the championship.
I loved Barnes tonight. He made his baskets when we needed it.. until the end.
I know I mentioned the end a lot tonight.. but shit that’s what matters. Heroes are made in the 4th quarter.. and away.. and nobody stepped up.
I’m sick and tired of Stephen Jackson bitching because he didn’t get a call and lagging on defense. He needs to get back and defend. That’s the basics. For his game to improve, he needs to realize, you gotta play D first.
